The MME leads you through the four phases of entrepreneurial growth, culminating in a tangible business that can be taken directly to market. In this unique approach, we offer experiential learning through first-hand actual business creation – from idea to launch.
MODULE I: IDEA CREATION
In Module I, you learn to explore the process of New Venture Creation while equipping yourself with the necessary foundational knowledge and skills. You will begin to generate ideas and collaborate with peers. Along the way, you will experience creative and creation activities, and learn the relationship between creativity, entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial process. By the end of the module, MME candidates will have developed business ideas and started feasibility analyses for those ideas.
This module also centers on the study-abroad portion of the program, involving two months at Babson College where you will gain direct exposure to Babson’s faculty and its renowned entrepreneurship-centric community and campus life. At Babson, you will further sharpen your idea discovery and learn about action processes that drive successful entrepreneurial ventures. Furthermore, you will join other like-minded students from the U.S. as well as other international institutions who will share experiences in various activities, giving everyone the opportunity to exchange ideas, network, and potentially lay the groundwork for future global collaboration.
MODULE II: BUSINESS PLANNING
During Module II you will become familiar with the the cocepts of business planning. This includes applying theory in real-time, learning and practicing specialized entrepreneurial activities such as the creation of prototypes, business plan, and pitching your venture to potential investors. The in-class portion of the program is rounded-off with case-based instruction in managing the different phases of strategic business growth, pre-empting the future challenges that lie ahead in various contexts of entrepreneurial leadership.
MODULE III: BUSINESS LAUNCHING
The final part of the program is an independent study. Students will be matched with their project mentors, comprising designated faculty advisors and experienced industry coaches in accordance with their chosen business ventures. As such you will devote a majority of time to the actual realization of your venture project, taking into consideration all critical aspects of true business operations. Backed by the knowledge and skills acquired through the MME program, you will benefit from the coaching, the feedback on ideas, and the sharing of value-adding practical experiences that your advisor and mentor can readily provide. The ultimate goal is for MME students to cross the finish line by getting their business ventures ready for capital investment.
